Burghul with Chicken and Tomato

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion or 150 g, chopped
  • 350 g skinned chicken breasts, cut into large cubes
  • 2 medium tomatoes or 300 g, peeled and chopped
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 cubes MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon Less Salt
  • 3 cups water or 750 ml
  • 1½ teaspoons seven spices
  • 2 cups burghul or 320 g, washed and drained

How to Prepare

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan and sauté onion for 3 mins or until onion is tender. Add the chicken and stir for 5 mins or until there is a change in color.Then add the tomato and tomato paste and stir for 5 mins.
  2. Add MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon Less Salt Cubes, water and the seven spices. Bring to a boil and simmer with occasional stirring for 5 mins.
  3. Add the burghul and stir to boil. Cover and simmer over a low heat for 15 mins or until burghul is completely cooked. Then serve immediately.
