Cream of Mushroom and Onion Soup

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 medium Onions or 300 g, cut into thin slices
  • 1 cup Mushrooms or 100 g, quartered
  • 4.5 cups Water or 1125 ml
  • 1 sachet MAGGI Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese or 50 g, grated

How to Prepare

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan, cook onions over medium heat with stirring for 8 minutes or until onions adopt a caramel color. Add mushrooms and stir for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add water, MAGGI Cream of Mushroom Soup and black pepper. Bring to boil and simmer for 8 minutes.
  3. Just before serving, divide cheese among serving bowls, pour hot soup into bowls and serve.
