Dill with Rice

  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion or 150 g finely chopped
  • 2 whole pieces dried limes cut into halves
  • 1 teaspoon saffron filaments
  • 2 cups fresh dill or 150 g chopped
  • 3 cubes MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon
  • 1 tin canned green peas or 400 g drained
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2.5 cups or 500 g basmati rice
  • 4.5 cups water or 1125 ml

How to Prepare

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan, and fry chopped onions for 2 mins or until it becomes tender.
  2. Add dried limes, saffron threads, dill, MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon, strained green peas and cardamom then stir for a minute. Add rice and water.
  3. Bring to boil then cover and simmer on low heat for 15-20 mins or until rice is cooked.
