Fish in Walnut Lemon Sauce

Fish in walnut sauce is a delicious and healthy international dish that’s full of nutrients. Try this exceptional dish at your home and make it popular with your family too! 


  • 750 g white fish fillets
  • 1 plain flour tablespoon
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter
  • 5 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1/2 cup or 75 g walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons plain flour
  • Lemon juice from 1 small piece
  • 2 cups or 500 ml water
  • 2 cubes MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley

How to Prepare

  1. Dust fish with flour and season with some salt.
  2. Heat oil in a large nonstick frying pan, add and pan- fry fish fillets over medium high heat until golden brown. Remove fish from pan and place on a serving dish.
  3. Melt butter in a medium saucepan, fry garlic and walnuts and stir over low heat for 1-2 mins. Add chilli powder and flour and stir for another minute.
  4. Add lemon juice, water and MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 mins.
  5. Stir in the parsley and serve the sauce over the fish fillets or serve the sauce separately.
