Goulash Soup



  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 500 g beef braising steak, cut into 3 cm cubes
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 100 g or 1 medium carrot, cut into 5 mm cubes
  • 1 potato, peeled and cut into small cubes
  • 1 parsnip, peeled and chopped
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 pack or 60 g MAGGI® Tomato Noodle Soup
  • 1½ teaspoon or 3 g caraway seed
  • 1 tablespoon mild paprika
  • 25 g sour cream
  • 20 g fresh parsley

How to Prepare

  1. In a medium pot, heat vegetable oil and sauté beef until brown and set aside
  2. Add onions, garlic and vegetables and sauté until soft
  3. Add beef, caraway seeds and paprika and add the water. Bring to boil, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes until meat is just tender,
  4. Add MAGGI® Tomato Noodle Soup. Stir and simmer for a further 15 minutes.
  5. Serve topped with a swirl of sour cream and parsley.
