Ground Beef Burritos with Whole Wheat Tortillas

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium or 125g onion, finely chopped
  • 300 g lean minced beef
  • 2 medium or 300 g tomato, peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tin or 240 g kidney beans, drained
  • 2 cubes MAGGI® Chicken Less Salt Stock Bouillon, crumbled
  • 1 small or 100 g red bell pepper, cut into cubes
  • 1 small or 100 g green bell pepper, cut into cubes
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon coriander powder
  • 8 whole wheat flour tortillas

How to Prepare

  1. Warm olive oil in a large non-stick pan, add and cook onion until its tender. Add minced beef and cook for 5 minutes or until beef is cooked.
  2. Add tomato and tomato paste and stir for 3 minutes or until tomato is tender then add kidney beans, crumbled MAGGI® Chicken Less Salt Stock Bouillon cubes, red and green bell peppers, herbs and spices. Stir occasionally and simmer for 5 minutes then remove from heat.
  3. Place some of the beef mixture over each warmed whole wheat tortilla and serve.
