Lamb and Cheese Sandwich

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ kg lamb fillets, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion or 125 g, sliced
  • ½ cup mushrooms or 50 g, sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, cut into long thin strips
  • 1 small red bell pepper, cut into long thin strips
  • 2 cubes MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon, dissolved in ½ cup or 125 ml boiling water
  • 1 large tomato or 200 g, peeled and diced
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 long bread rolls
  • 1½ cups cheddar cheese or 150 g, red, grated

How to Prepare

  1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan, add the lamb fillet and fry for 6-7 minutes or until it becomes golden brown. Add the onions and sauté for another 2 minutes. Add the mushrooms, sweet bell pepper, dissolved MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon cubes, tomatoes, and black pepper. Stir and boil for 5 minutes or until vegetables become tender.
  2. Spoon the lamb mixture on the opened long roll bread and sprinkle the top with the grated cheese. Place in preheated oven at 200°C for 2 minutes to melt the cheese.
