Light Lentil Soup with Minced Beef

This delicious Beef and Lentil Soup is perfect for warming your belly. This is the perfect weekday dinner for yourself as well as family. The addition of meat will delight all.


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion or 50 g, finely chopped
  • 150 g lean beef, minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 5 cups water or 1250 ml
  • 1 sachet MAGGI® Lentil Soup
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

How to Prepare

  1. Warm olive oil in a large saucepan. Add onion and cook for 2 mins.
  2. Add minced beef and fry for 4 mins or until the beef becomes brown in color and cooked.
  3. Add cumin powder, water and MAGGI® Lentil Soup. Bring to boil with constant stirring and simmer for 10 –15 mins.
  4. Add parsley and season with lemon juice and serve.
