Mini Shawarma Calzone

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 300 g lean minced beef
  • 1 sachet MAGGI® Shawerma Mix
  • 6 tablespoons MAGGI® Tomato Ketchup
  • 12 tablespoons mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 600 g pizza base, ready made

How to Prepare

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and place rack on medium level.
  2. Sauté onions in olive oil until soft. Add minced beef, MAGGI® Shawarma Mix and cook until fully done. Remove from heat and stir in MAGGI® Tomato Ketchup.
  3. Divide pizza dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each piece to a 5mm thickness and a width of around 15 cm. place a tablespoon of the meat filling in the center and sprinkle 1 tablespoon cheese on top. Gently fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges with a fork.
  4. Bake in preheated oven until pastry is cooked and golden on top. Remove and allow to cool slightly before serving.
