Pakistani Chicken Makhani

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 medium onions or 300 g, cut into thin slices
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili pepper
  • 1½ kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 3 medium tomatoes or 450 g, blanched and pureed
  • 1 cup water or 250 ml
  • 2 cubes MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon
  • 1 cup Nestlé® Cream Original
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves

How to Prepare

  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan, cook onions for 5-6 mins or until golden brown. Add all the spices and stir for 1 min.
  2. Add chicken pieces and cook for 5-6 mins. Add tomato puree, water, and MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon cubes. Cover and cook on low heat for 30-35 mins or until the chicken is well done.
  3. Add Nestlé® Cream Original and mix thoroughly. Cook for 5-6 mins then stir in fresh coriander and serve.
