Prawns and Lentil Soup

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped or 150 g
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 medium tomato peeled and diced or 150 g
  • 5½ cups water or 1375 ml
  • 1 sachet MAGGI® Lentil Soup
  • 300 g peeled prawns, medium size, cleaned and cut into small cubes
  • 1½ tablespoons coriander leaves, coarsely chopped

How to Prepare

  1. Warm olive oil in a large saucepan, cook onions and garlic with stirring until they become tender. Stir in cumin seeds and tomato and cook continously stirring for 2 mins.
  2. Add water and MAGGI® Lentil Soup. Bring to a boil constantly stirring and simmer over low heat for 8 mins.
  3. Add the prawns and simmer for another 5 mins or until prawns are cooked.
  4. Just before serving, sprinkle in the coriander.
