Shawarma Pita Pockets

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 2 small sliced tomato
  • 12 slices cucumber pickled and thinly sliced
  • 12 small pita bread
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 6 teaspoons tahini
  • 1 small onion finely sliced
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 sachet MAGGI® Shawarma Mix

How to Prepare

  1. In a medium mixing bowl combine minced beef, MAGGI® Shawarma Mix and vegetable oil, mix well and form into 5cm wide by 1cm thick burger patties.
  2. Cook patties in a frying pan or over grill until fully cooked.
  3. Meanwhile cut bun into half, optionally toast in an oven, then proceed to arrange tomatoes, pickles and burger patties on the bun, drizzle with tahini sauce and optionally garnish with onion slices.
  4. Place bun over top and serve next to baked fries or vegetable sticks.
