Spicy Lamb Liver and Green Onions

A no-frills recipe for a weeknight dinner. Serve hot with a salad and steaming rice or any flatbread of your choice.


  • 2 medium onions, sliced length-wise
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 3 medium red chili peppers, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 medium lamb liver, trimmed and cut into 1 cm thick strips
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups long green onions, trimmed and cut into 5 cm pieces
  • 4 tablespoons fresh parsley leaves, chopped
  • 2 cubes MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon

How to Prepare

  1. In a deep frying pan, sauté onions in vegetable oil until golden. Add chili, cumin powder and tomato paste, and sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Add lamb liver strips, mix with onions, and sauté for 2-3 mins.
  3. Add MAGGI® Chicken Bouillon and water. Bring to a boil and stir all the ingredients together. Cover and simmer for 10 mins.
  4. Stir in green onions and parsley leaves before serving with flatbread or steamed rice.
