Vegetables and Chickpeas Saffron Soup

Beware: This recipe is going to make you crave for soup like never before. With the goodness of vegetables, chickpeas and the color of saffron, this one is a clear winner.


  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 small Onion or 100 g, diced
  • 1 pinch Saffron filaments
  • 1 tin canned chickpeas or 450 g
  • 1 sachet MAGGI 11 Vegetables Soup
  • 1/2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 5 cups Water or 1250 ml
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper, to taste

How to Prepare

  1. Heat oil in a pan and cook onions and saffron for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add chickpeas, MAGGI 11 Vegetables Soup, tomato paste and water.
  3. Bring to boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Season with black pepper.
